Did you know that we actually discovered LLM's because someone left a training run for an autocomplete running to long? I can imagine it now, some researcher for Miriam-Webster leaves to get coffee Friday at lunch and then gets distracted. The training run goes over the weekend and all of a sudden BOOM it's writing whole essays instead when they tried to complete a sentence. (That's the short, abbreviated, and totally fabricated story BUT the main concept is 100% true)
