Though, I don't think Mastodon is a great replacement, Much bigger character limit = many long posts that I just scroll past. Mixed feelings about the move.
BTW it was super easy to sign up. No idea what the fuss was about with it being difficult. You go to their site, you choose a server, you sign up, you wait a bit, and then that's it.
If, like me, you were put off based purely on the stories of faff and difficulty: it's a breeze.
But if you phoned him up on the technical support line about an outstanding item and he started to sing "I Don't Care Anymore", it would all be worth it.
Oh wow - I don't keep an eye on my website stats, but I did just notice that I passed 400,000 total views a while ago. Blimey! Big ups all the pals in network engineering who read my new posts & then refresh the page 25,000 times.
