We were very privileged to have 2 bottlenose dolphins not only visit but stick around #strangfordlough for over 2 weeks recently. We observed them following the ferry, riding the wake of boats, and even witnessed long periods of snoozy behaviour in the surrounding marinas🐬

Final contributed talk of #ASABangor: Connie Baker-Horne @ConnieBHorne on vigilance in female fallow deer (in a park in Dublin). An understudied topic!

2 years ago @NicholasSHorne and I bought our house, with a big bare lawn. After letting 50% go wild, installing a pond and doing lots of planting, we now have a garden full of frogs, birds, wild plants, and newts. This baby newt from yesterday is my current fav find.

Great to offshore wind moving forward here. That planned production is enough for all the houses in NI! A step in the right direction towards net-zero.
The Clean Revolution – Building Northern Ireland’s Offshore Wind Industry sets out how the industry and government can work together to achieve 1.5 GW of electricity by 2032.

Been walking Indie here two years now. The difference in the biodiversity of plants and insects between the two years is amazing. Excited to see a 3rd year of wildflower meadow progress next summer!

I'm pretty sure @amywestervelt is providing the best, most nuanced dissection of the really remarkable IPCC report that came out this week. Read this in particular; it's not as wonky as you might think, and it will shake up your thinking drilledpodcast.com/debunking…
