Einstein slept nearly 10 hours a day. He valued the significance of quality sleep for maintaining his well-being. His sleep routine, though, was out of the ordinary. He regularly indulged in brief daytime naps, occasionally more than once a day. These quick naps, lasting just a few minutes, were thought by Einstein to revitalize his mental energy and creative thinking. He felt that these short periods of rest gave him a renewed viewpoint to solve intricate scientific challenges.

The National Composites Centre (NCC) and the Digital Engineering Technology & Innovation (DETI) partners: CFMS, Digital Catapult, Universities of the West of England, Bristol & Bath, will be holding an event focused on ‘Demystifying Digital Engineering’, taking place at the NCC, Bristol, 23rd March, 2-4.30pm. Brian Holliday, Managing Director for Siemens Digital Industries & Co-Chair of Made Smarter Commission, will be delivering a keynote presentation on “Digital Transformation Imperative”. There will also be a dedicated Panel Session featuring Brian Holliday (Managing Director for Siemens Digital Industries), Richard Oldfield (Chief Executive, NCC) and Marc Funnell (Head of Digital Engineering Technologies, NCC).
