Remind me please what was the ‘co-lateral damage’ to civilians, Allied Prisoners of War, hospitals and other civilian infrastructure caused by the British and United States bombing and resultant firestorms in Hamburg in July 1943 and Dresden in February 1945
Former Gunner ( @royalartillery1 ) and former @Proud_Sappers Richard (Badge) Samson will this year again lay the wreath at @NorthbourneCh . Can anyone else boast a veteran of pre WW2 horse drawn Artillery, Dunkirk, Alamein, Italian campaign and Normandy? We are very privileged.
Too late for conf, but did you know the @Proud_Sappers has a centenarian veteran who served at El Alamein. He was in @rhqra but rebadged before D-Day and served in a Port Op Coy on Mulberry. He ended WW2 in Schleswig Holstein. He will lay wreath Remembrance Day @NorthbourneCh
Why opening and closing our church building every day is so worth while @SaveTheParish@CanterburyDio @AdnDarren
We get visitors most days and I notice that one entry in our visitors’ book encourages others.

I wonder if you have heard Stephen Hough’s personal journey. I have a memory that he had a similar conversation with his granny as you did. It comes out in the last half of the programme.
@harveysprout - another good listen bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m001h3…
Help please. EH Plumptre (1821-92) wrote hymn ‘Thy Hand O God has Guided’ A&M Supplement 1889. Vs 4 ‘the faithful few fought bravely, to guard the nation’s life’
Who were the faithful few? when? and for which nation?

The children of Northbourne CE Primary School were in St Augstine’s this morning for a School Harvest Festival. Children learned new ‘Call and Answer’ from our Rector, Father Andrew.
Call - ‘God is good!’
Answer - ‘All of the time’

Ascension Day Service for Northbourne CE Primary. We have a great big God action song to sing and after the service it’s back to school in the sunshine and on a path through the fields. What could be more uplifting!@CanterburyDio
