We’re temporarily closing Pullen Park amusements for a necessary project at the lake. From Feb. 2 – Mar. 31, all attractions, amenities, playgrounds, and picnic shelters will be closed. Good news: the aquatic center, the community center, and the tennis courts will remain open!

We love ❤️ water 💦 because it helps us put out fire. You can help prevent fire by making sure you watch what you heat, keep space heaters at least 3 feet from flammable items, and be very careful with candles! That way you can sit back and enjoy our #awesome @Raleigh_Water!

🏈Stay awake and alert while you’re cooking.
🏈Stand by your pan. If you leave the kitchen, turn the burner off.
🏈Keep a large pan lid or baking sheet nearby in case you need to smother a pan fire.

It's going to be really COLD❄️ this weekend in NC! Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey reminds families about the fire dangers that come with using space heaters. Keep them at least 3 feet away from anything that can burn. And always turn space heaters off when you leave the room.

The safest thing to do tonight is stay home. Do that if you can! If you must be out and about:
🔵 Don't drive through flooded roads.
🔵 Don't drive around barricades.
🔵 Be vigilant of fallen debris and power lines.
🔵 If there is a tornado warning, seek shelter IMMEDIATELY.
