๐จ Newport Beach, Orange County, California News ๐๏ธ ๐จ Newport Beach is preparing for king tides from Saturday through Tuesday, with the highest evening tides Sunday and Monday reaching at least 7 feet.
Crews have deployed over 400 sandbags, extra staff, and 30 pumps to mitigate flooding in low-lying areas including Newport Island, Lido Village, and Balboa Island. Water could reach over seawalls and streets, especially with larger surf.
Residents in vulnerable neighborhoods are urged to prepare for possible localized flooding. Lifeguards are monitoring increased wave activity.
