This proposed legislation does not close the $6.3B #OntEd funding gap. It does not limit growing class sizes, address classroom violence, or any of the other issues hurting Ontario’s publicly funded education system.
It is hard to see how this Act puts Ontario students first.
BREAKING: The Ford government has backed down from its desire to abolish school board trustees.
Instead, the government is creating new board bureaucracy intended to have control over decisions, hiring and budgets.
