davesjoint.net/2025/10/14/tw… Check out our article on two players from the North Bronx in @22_captainjack & @JuiceCrewMali, both of whom hail from the North Bronx, specifically the Baychester/Edenwald area, and whom have both returned to the tri-state area to play in the Big East Conference. @22_captainjack, the former five-star recruit from the class of 2024 out of @OSLBasketball, who also became the first @McDAAG selectionat the school, has maintained a following since his high school days as he was one of the first players in the state of New York to attain an NIL deal & now is an ambassador with @adidasHoops. Last season, he had a solid year at the University of North Carolina as a freshman, but now is back in NYC to play at @StJohnsBBall, which has been rated as the No. 5 team in the preseason @AP_Top25 poll. @JuiceCrewMali, a former All-City standout from the Class of 2021 out of @StRaymondRavens, held his own for two seasons prior to the pandemic shutting down the remainder of his junior season and all of his senior year. He went to the University of Dayton, where he had a spectacular freshman season & spent four seasons, there, graduating in May with a degree in General Studies. But in between that time, ankle injuries derailed his progress. However, due to the injuries, the NCAA granted him another season, and in April of this year, he decided to make a pledge to @UConnMBB, who is now No. 4 in the preseason @AP_Top25 national poll. Now, both players will be suiting up against each other twice this season, first at the Garden on Friday, Feb. 6th in a prime time matchup, which is a matchup that all of The Bronx will be waiting for. Congrats to Bronx native & @OSLBasketball senior @kaedeuce on his commitment to @YSUMensHoops. Look out for him on the Falcons’ postgrad team this season. His journey was one for the ages, as he was the highest-leading scorer as a sophomore in the @nycpsal at WHEELS & then being one of the most prominent scorers in the @CHSAA_NYC as a junior. He will definitely be a force in the @HorizonLeague for first-year head coach @CoachFaulkner1 when he steps onto campus next season.
