Nigerian “discipline” is highly overrated. Look at the society that discipline created, morally bankrupt and anyhow. It’s just abuse and suffering packaged as discipline.

She sees every man who's attracted to her as a gold digger. Now imagine how rich and successful men see women yet they still get married every week. While rich men don't have an issue marrying broke women every week, rich women don't want to marry men they're richer than. This is just to tell you that men are better people than women will ever be. Another day to remind you how selfish and ruthless women are.
“I can't marry a Nigerian. The last Nigerian I dated was already asking me when he could meet my dad. I don’t even think they actually like me.” — DJ Cuppy, Femi Otedola’s daughter.

This is the dilemma of being rich. Every little gesture from potential partner is scrutinized and viewed from the lens that they have an ulterior motive. I actually get her

The only point of discipline here is to never question authority. They start from school by flogging us into submission, and that submission follows you into adulthood till you eventually become the adult that can’t even demand better governance in a country where you pay taxes. Nigerians love to talk down on Black Americans and how stubborn they are, but if we had half the mind they had in fighting racism in their country, we’d be in a better place.
Been saying this ‘Discipline’ meanwhile the whole point is to create docile people that’ll be finding it difficult speak up for themselves especially against elders

Everyone is forced to be in Lagos. And I mean “deliberately” forced to be in Lagos to serve capitalism. You probably don’t know this because you don’t understand how the capitalist economy of Nigeria is set up to work. When you extract the value of the whole country and concentrate it in one location, it serves the capitalists, as people will be forced by lack of activities to leave their original location (where they live rent free and grow their own food) to Lagos where they will have no choice than slave for capitalism just to afford to pay for the same rent and food they had for free. Capitalism needs people who are desperate to eat and pay rent to survive. It was not by accident that every headquarters and every key infrastructure and public service was concentrated in Lagos. It was deliberate. It’s also not by accident that insecurity is trafficked everywhere else before it get to Lagos. It is deliberate. It’s very important you educate yourself on how systems work, to avoid embarrassing yourself by asking people if they are forced to be in Lagos. Of course, they are forced to be in Lagos.

One interesting thing I’ve noticed about releasing music is that when you focus only on your local audience as a new artist, they often don’t care that much. But the moment you focus on a global audience and it gains traction, suddenly the local audience wanna fuck with your shit

A reminder from Atomic Habits by James Clear: “It doesn't make sense to continue wanting something if you're not willing to do what it takes to get it. If you don't want to live the lifestyle, then release yourself from the desire. To crave the result but not the process is to guarantee disappointment.”

It’s dangerous telling people they “need” luck or grace to succeed. It leaves room for manipulation by pastors. Luck and grace are outside your control. You can’t pray them into existence. What you can do is prepare. Because luck determines which opportunity appears but preparation determines whether you can capitalize on it. If you have no skill in engineering and you get luckily picked for an engineering job, you’re still going to fail at it. So focus on what you can control. Your effort, skills, and discipline. Let luck take care of itself.
No let anybody whine you, it’s not by hard work it’s not by ability. In life you need luck or grace as some people call it you need it like mad.
