Through constant and productive engagements with key stakeholders, it is important to realise that #HarmReduction ensures that #PWUD and those with a history of #DrugUse routinely have a real voice in the creation of programs & policies designed to serve them.
#SupportDontPunish
By offering non-judgmental and compassionate care, #HarmReduction services can engage #PWUD who may otherwise be hesitant to seek help, ultimately saving lives by connecting them to resources and interventions.

Stigmatizing language against #PWUD is harmful at all levels of society, even among healthcare practitioners, law enforcement officers & social workers. It can have strong negative impacts on people’s well-being, create barriers to accessing treatment and other important services
At the @AfricanSFL#WARC23, SSDP Nigeria highlighted the negative effects of Stigma against #PWUD, which can discourage a person from getting help because they are afraid of judgement or getting in trouble with work, their loved ones or even the law
