With the votes for @xDay2023 Community Awards underway, we humbly submit OCS as candidate for Best Real-World Applicable Project. Since our launch in August 2022 at @ToermalijnShop, we have pioneered real-life use cases of Web3 and Blockchain, introducing over 1,100 first-time users to the novel concepts of NFTs and the Metaverse through intuitive applications of the technology and educational initiatives. Today, we are offering unique in-store benefits to 1,600 OCS Members at 13 partner locations spread across 3 continents and record between 200 and 500 daily and over 1,000 monthly unique users. We also pioneered 3 additional distinct IRL use cases for the technology: 🎁 1. "Weedeemable" NFTs Buyers were able to purchase and trade the NFTs (with 0% royalties) to be redeemed for a physical box upon release. 🎫 2. NFT Ticketing For an event with over 600 attendees, we distributed tickets as soul-bound collectibles to enhance the experience for guests and power engaging activities using blockchain technology. 🍀 3. On-Chain Raffle Attendees who checked in at the event were then automatically entered into an on-chain raffle that distributed winning tickets redeemable for physical prizes directly to their #xPortal wallets. We used this system at several events since. To our partners, we offer fully customizable loyalty programs, increasing customer retention and average spend, enhancing their visibility and brand image, and educating their staff and community on new technologies.
