It has been fun working with @RCFNeuro, @alzassociation, @CurePSP and other organizers to develop the scientific program for #Tau2024! My lab will be there - will yours? March 25-26, 2024 in Washington, DC. Register now: alz.org/Tau
#Spatialproteomics reveal mechanisms of development and progression in #Alzheimer'sdisease. 🧠 👉bit.ly/3ZL5zWK@Orr_lab from Wake Forest University used GeoMx DSP to show proteome differences at the basis of Aβ and p-tau distribution and pathogenicity.

Happy to share our latest publication - we used spatial proteomics to compare #PART and #AD looking at differences between NFTs, normal neurons and their microenvironments in the CA1 and CA2 subregions of the #hippocampus, as well as the entorhinal cortex. doi.org/10.1002/alz.13484
🧟 The @Orr_Lab is researching senescent cells and their impact on memory problems. Could targeting "zombie" cells be a breakthrough in #Alzheimers treatments? Learn more: brnw.ch/21wD7Hq
Last week's 9th Annual Melvin R. Goodes Prize Luncheon & symposium reflected on recent breakthroughs in #Alzheimers research. This year, the ADDF honored DxA-funded scientist, Dr. Rhoda Au for her work with #DigitalBiomarkers and #diagnostics for early Alzheimer's detection.
Results from a new study led by ADDF-funded @Orr_Lab further validate that novel approaches to #Alzheimers centered around the biology of aging will guide the next generation of therapeutics. Read our statement on the senescent cell treatment study here: bit.ly/3RdEQjd
More than 6.7M Americans and 57M people worldwide are living with #Alzheimers today. A new gift from the #Lauders ensures the #ADDF will be able to continue funding the most promising science around the globe until we defeat this disease: bit.ly/3G3gNNG
Within the next 15 years, ADDF will help bring to market a new generation of drugs based on the #biologyofaging that can be combined with other therapies, including anti-amyloids, to defeat #Alzheimers thanks to a historic gift from the #Lauder family: bit.ly/3G3gNNG
