Gizelle Rodriguez, a junior high school volleyball player, suffered a concussion on the court that sidelined her for a long period of time. Not being able to continue playing sports was a difficult adjustment for the young athlete. The symptoms of severe headaches and pain would continue to plague her until she was referred to Summer Ott, PsyD, neuropsychologist with UT Physicians.
Follow Gizelle’s journey and how she was able to find the care she needed thanks to the combined efforts of her parents, coach, and health care providers.
