Follow the money on this one. It is rotten to the core. The Pentagon just lent $620,000,000 to a tiny North Carolina startup called Vulcan Elements. The company is two years old. It had fewer than 50 employees. And three months before the deal was announced, Donald Trump Jr.’s venture firm quietly took a stake in it. Here is the part the administration tried to bury. Of the dozens of companies the Pentagon was weighing, Vulcan was the only deal initiated by a top White House aide. That aide was Peter Navarro, a close friend of Trump Jr. The order came down to move fast. One official put it plainly: The call came from the White House. We have to get this done. Staff worked late nights to push it through in weeks. Deals like this normally take many months of vetting. And when it closed, Vulcan’s valuation jumped from about 200 million dollars to roughly 2 billion. A windfall for the investors, including the president’s son. This is public money. Your money. Routed through the Pentagon to enrich the president’s family and their friends. The Bush administration’s own chief ethics lawyer called it corruption we pay for. And there is more coming. A drone parts company Trump Jr. holds a stake in is also under Pentagon review. This is not a one-off. It is a pattern. The president’s family is treating the federal Treasury like a private bank, and the bill lands on every taxpayer. propublica.org/article/donal…

You knew he had an anti green energy agenda & voted to confirm him anyway. What were you thinking?
In a brazen political act, @SecretaryWright cancelled over $600 million for Colorado energy projects. I’m demanding answers on the reckless decision because Coloradans shouldn’t be forced to pay the price with higher energy costs and layoffs across our state.

A Reagan-Era law, EMTALA, requires that hospitals treat ANYONE in dire distress, regardless of citizenship or insurance coverage. Notably, Republicans are NOT proposing that this Law be changed. ”Illegals” are NOT covered by Medicaid, the ACA or Medicare ~ and never have been.

I plan to oppose every cabinet level nominee that is considered on the Senate floor going forward. The recklessness on display has already proven to be incredibly harmful and will only continue, unless we do something. I will do everything in my power to stand up for Delaware.

This is a five alarm fire. The people elected Donald Trump to be President - not Elon Musk. Having an unelected billionaire, with his own foreign debts and motives, raiding US classified information is a grave threat to national security. This should not be a partisan issue.
Breaking: WASHINGTON (AP) — USAID security chiefs on leave after trying to prevent Musk's DOGE from accessing classified material, officials say.

This is an excellent summary of Musk’s takeover of the Treasury from @NYMag’s @chasdanner, with quotes from WSJ, NYT, WaPo, and my op-ed from @MSNBC yesterday. But this quote from @smotus is right on the money. This isn’t efficiency. It’s a coup. nymag.com/intelligencer/arti…

The utter fiasco of the last 48 hours is just a taste of the chaos Russ Vought would unleash. It is clear that no responsible Senator of any party should vote to confirm Vought to OMB. ☎️ Contact your Senator and tell them to vote NO on his confirmation: senate.gov/senators/senators…
