Back to share a good news announcement from @indexers this afternoon, then I’ll be out of here properly. I am much happier elsewhere now so that’s where I will be.

Last night I went to a lecture on the impact of the Hampton Court Conference of 1604. The lecturer brought along several contemporary documents including the Basilikon Doron of 1603. The original owner provided a brief index which may interest @indexers
For the first in a series of blog posts, we've asked some experienced Society of Indexers Professional Members to share their thoughts, tips and wisdom with us. Today, they answer the most irritating question for any indexer: can't a computer do that?

Congratulations to @delayedgratification on “Misc”! I’ve hoovered up this kind of book since I was a kid: the Fact-a-Minute book, the Book of Lists, @benschott obvs, @HenryEliot’s “Bookish Lists”... Also includes a lovely example of the index that makes you want to know more.
Harriet Dyer: from Live At Our aLiS @alaughstockport in August to Live At The Apollo in October. And quite right too. Congrats @HarrietDyerCom! Can’t wait for loads more people to see what you do. 😄
Another book that I enjoyed copy-editing for @calonbooks@UniWalesPress and out now – Where The Folk: A Welsh Folklore Road Trip by Russ Williams @welshindie. Charming, funny, and an inspiration to explore much more of beautiful Wales/Cymru. 🏴
Where the folk can I hear the scream of the banshee?
The figure of the banshee is more commonly associated with Ireland, but where in Wales can you find a similar screaming sight...?

Two books I was glad to copy-edit for @calonbooks@UniWalesPress have just been published. One is Nightshade Mother: A Disentangling by Gwyneth Lewis @Lewispoet. An absorbing memoir of a mother–daughter relationship by the inaugural National Poet of Wales.
Published today!
Gwyneth Lewis's powerful and moving memoir 'Nightshade Mother: A Disentangling' is available now via the link below and from your favourite local bookshop 📚
