The agenda for the next Full Council meeting in Westminster is published. The Labour opposition put forward 2 reports for debate & a motion. The new Tory administration has put forward nothing. They have nothing to say - not in a forum where opposition councillors can reply.
If your party had just regained control of a council, wouldn't you want to use the first proper full council meeting to set out what you were going to do? Not if you're a @westminstertory. They've no ideas, no debate, and no business for the council on 17 June #ToryFail

It’s error after error from this hopeless Conservative administration in Westminster
This is hilarious! The Conservatives in Westminster didn’t get their responses in on time on the consultation on Oxford Street and are blaming everyone except themselves! 🤣🤣🤣 standard.co.uk/news/london/s…

In opposition, the Conservatives raged against raises to the cabinet member allowances. Now that they are being paid to their members, they are happy to accept them. They need to answer the questions posed by @ormsby_ellie and they need to apologise.
I've sent the following letter to the Cabinet Members in the new Conservative administration at Westminster City Council on behalf of @wminsterlabour. Residents deserve to know whether their “principles” had an expiry date. Read more below. westminsterlabour.org.uk/iss…

We urgently need a new St Mary's Hospital, and I'm pleased that this government has committed £50 million to get the project back on track. The next phase of the consultation is open, and now's your chance to have your say on the design 👇🏻 imperial.nhs.uk/st-marys-dev… You have until 17 July to make your voice heard, and I'd encourage as many people as possible to take part.

82 years ago, on the beaches of Normandy, brave British and Allied forces changed the course of history forever. We must never forget the service and sacrifice of those courageous men and women. Our debt to them can never be repaid.

The first main action of the new Conservative administration in Westminster is to restrict the mechanism for scrutiny. Is this because they veer towards authoritarianism or because of the hugely unpalatable decisions that are coming?

Westminster Tories are quietly rewriting the rules to dodge scrutiny - cutting committees and restricting how councillors can challenge their decisions. A power grab with no mandate. So what are they trying to hide?

Westminster Conservatives on Oxford Street
While we keep our options open on Oxford Street, if pedestrianisation is going ahead we want to make it the best possible for residents, visitors & businesses. The experienced @CityWestminster team is ready to work constructively with @SadiqKhan 2/2

"U-turn" is generous. This is a panicked three-point turn. How embarrassing for Westminster's Conservative administration, who made so many unrealistic promises to residents they were never going to keep.

Stunning hypocrisy from Westminster Tories here. Are we surprised? Not really
Unprecedented hypocrisy from Westminster Conservatives who having berated the Labour administration for raising cabinet member allowances in 4 years worth of leaflets are now accepting for themselves the raised cabinet member allowances. Apparently that was then and this is now.

The Oxford Street MDC's takeover of planning powers from @CityWestminster has been delayed again. Originally 1 April, then 1 June and now "later this summer." How can business plan to invest if it doesn't know which local authority will determine an application?

🌿 We were delighted to attend the opening of the new community garden at Lilestone Hub - a great example of what Labour in power delivers for residents. 🌼 An oasis in the city with space to grow, relax and connect, designed with residents. 🤝 #Westminster
