You can't have food security without food producers. Simple as that. Worth a read from @GrainFarmersON and @uofg on what Canada's national strategy needs to get right. farmtario.com/crops/oped-foo… #cdnag

"Farmers’ funding uptake surges for cover crops, other green projects" Expanded cover crop usage for water-flow control (as this article describes) makes good sense. Cover crop use to increase soil organic carbon - not so much - at least IMHO. farmtario.com/news/ontario-f…

This week, GGC is on Capitol Hill as part of CAFTA’s mission to support a stable and predictable trading relationship with our largest trading partner. With over $17 billion in Canadian grain & grain products exported to the U.S., certainty is essential for producer bottom lines.
Today, CAFTA began its Washington DC mission with a meeting at the @CanEmbUSA, joined by provincial representatives from @MBGov @GouvQc @YourAlberta and @ONgov. We appreciate the important conversation as we work toward a strong and stable #CUSMA renewal. #USMCA
