#CARRIED! Canada is a G7 country that just passed an @NDP motion to stop selling arms to Israel! Canada's #CeasefireNOW position is OFFICIAL. That is huge! On top of that the motion calls for: ➡️ sanctioning Israeli settler violence ... 1/7

When employers don't pay for waiting time for rideshare drivers and misclassify them as independent contractors, it cuts income and strips away basic protections like sick leave and health benefits. Gig work must be decent work‼️ #Justice4Workers thestar.com/news/gta/this-bu…

Thousands in the streets of Valencia, Spain. Teachers are on strike for better public funding and working conditions! Similar protests are taking place across the country. This is what it looks like to stand up and demand that the government FUND THE FRONTLINES!

Cuba is out of fuel, strangled by the US fuel chokehold. People are dying, systems are breaking down. This is collective punishment against a people who have done absolutely nothing except live their lives under hard conditions imposed by the US blockade for decades. It’s a blatant violation of international law, a crime in progress. Canadians are connected to Cuba: we’ve been welcomed, had great holidays, heard incredible music, done business and made friends. We need to help Cuba right now, even if it bothers Trump: Canada should send immediate humanitarian fuel aid, in as much quantity as we can quickly assemble. And we should be speaking out loudly on the international stage: US military action against Cuba is absolutely unacceptable! It’s time for the countries of the world to rally and stop this impunity before it takes another sovereign country into chaos. We have to come to Cuba's aid. What's happening is too cruel, too horrible.

When one of the Liberals’ biggest climate champions feels he must leave the Liberal caucus in order to fight climate change, it says everything you need to know about the government’s sense of urgency on this file. There is none. In what is forecast to be one of the hottest years on record, Prime Minister Carney has abandoned climate action at our collective expense.

This afternoon, CUPE Ontario delegates welcomed Avi Lewis, journalist, activist, and newly elected leader of the federal NDP, as our Convention keynote speaker. From documenting worker-led movements around the world to championing policies that put working people ahead of corporate profits, Avi's message was clear: when workers organize, we can build an economy that works for everyone – not just the wealthy few. Thank you, Avi, for inspiring delegates and reminding us that real change comes from people power, solidarity, and a movement that refuses to accept the status quo. ✊💜 #CUPEON26
