After 29 years, Michael Granville's 1:46.45 high school record in the 800 meters has been broken.
Texas's Cooper Lutkenhaus -- just a sophomore -- runs 1:46.16 to break it at the Brooks PR Invite in Seattle. Owen Powell runs 1:46.63 for 2nd (#6 all-time).

Is the era of All-Star games over? The Pro Bowl isn't even a real football game, the NBA All-Star game has little to excite the common fan. MLB All-Star game is largely going through the motions IMHO. Too many stars opting out, and just not the bragging rights of yesterday.

Is anyone else bothered that the NFL Playoffs are on Amazon Prime, Fox, ESPN/ABC, CBS/Paramount and Peacock/NBC. I might be missing one. Why not just one or two networks/streaming?

Very much doubt winter sports organisations are watching the European Cross-Country Championships (on BBC iplayer) but they should be. The sport would be a great addition to the Winter Olympics and they really should be more open to such suggestions if they want to evolve.
