I am very proud to announce that I've been named the next Executive Director of the OU Health Harold Hamm Diabetes Center at the
@UofOklahoma, effective September 1.
It is the honor of a lifetime to lead a center built on Harold Hamm's extraordinary vision, alongside a team with the talent, resources, and ambition to take on diabetes at every level, from molecular discovery to caring for the patients who walk through our clinic doors.
My charge is clear: to build the Center into a national engine for diabetes discovery, to recruit and mentor a world-class community of scientists, and to help Oklahoma reach its bold goal of reducing diabetes complications and deaths. Above all, my commitment is to turn that science into real, measurable gains for people living with this disease.
To President Joe Harroz, Harold Hamm, and everyone who placed their faith in me, thank you. And to my friends and colleagues at Pennington Biomedical Research Center and across Louisiana, this has been a chapter I will fondly remember.
Onward to the next chapter. Boomer Sooner!
