So wonderful to hear the great Craig Forrest on the call of this Ghana-Panama World Cup match. Craig has represented the game magnificently in this country over two generations in different roles.

One of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. Argentina fans have been in the Arrowhead stairwell for at least 20 minutes and show no sign of stopping any time soon. What a night in Kansas City. 🇦🇷

Argentina and France (second half) showing the levels required. Setting the tone with their front-foot football, belief, work ethic and unleashing of two perfect 10s in attack. 2022 World Cup finalists are the gold standard. #FIFAWorldCup

Vancouver isn’t perfect, but what this soccer moment has reiterated to me is this: If we want social connection, our policies have to allow for it. Montreal gets this. We can too. And I think this current city council wants to make it happen. I know ABC and @KenSimCity are championing more of this. Pedestrianize Granville and Robson in spring/summer. Keep Water Street car-light. Make patios bigger and easier. Let bars, cafés and pubs stay open later. Transit can adapt. Deliveries can be managed. These are solvable problems. Just look at Granville right now. People want to gather. Then think bigger: an organization focused on growing local festivals and major events. Celebration of Light, the PNE, music festivals, cultural street festivals like Italian Day and Khatsahlano. Not just tourism, but community. Cities don’t become vibrant by accident. They choose to be. Vancouver your time to choose is now.

I am more critical than the average fan, and have criticized specific takes, but a blanket criticism to TSN's wall to wall coverage of the World Cup is ridiculous. What more could they be doing? Genuinely? Soccer is always on, they have anaylsts on constantly in between games.. Could the analysts be better, is that what we are getting at? Sure, it can always be better, but TSN has given better coverage than I have ever seen. Let's be thankful for what we have and where we are going. #CanMNT #TSNSoccer

Oh man the TSN coverage of the World Cup so far is so low effort and ill-informed. The game will not grow in this country until the media and coverage commits to it.

In order for Canada to become "a footballing nation" it would help if on the soccer section of your website, you had a byline for the @CPLsoccer & @NorthernSuperLg (our 2 top tier professional leagues) like you do for TFC, the EPL & International soccer.
Canada has struck the right home pitch. We finally might be a footballing nation trib.al/r6UIL8M
