A tweetorial on our study (gastrojournal.org/article/S0…). But, first a case: Young female w/ a 1.9 cm incidental pancreatic cyst. No concerning features, but KRAS, TP53 and SMAD4 mutations on molecular testing. Surgical resection: #IPMN w/ a small #PancreaticCancer. #Pathology #GIPath

Papillary adenocarcinoma of head of pancreas, with metastases to common bile duct and lung @NEJM 1946 Case records of MGH. Probably one of the first descriptions of what we would now call as #PancreaticCancer arising in a main duct intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN).

Hopkins will provide $280M in mid-size and large grants to support faculty for 2 years (1) $160M for all life scientists (from basic to translation) (2) $120M for all science and engineering. This cannot replace federal funding, not even close, but it helps.

PanCAN's Chief Scientific and Medical Officer, Dr. @ABerkenblit, shares, "I know that in the years to come, we'll look back on this year's #ASCO26 meeting as marking the beginning of a new era for patients with pancreatic cancer. As a long-standing American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) member, it was a privilege this year to attend alongside my colleagues from Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, knowing the pivotal role PanCAN played to get us to this historic moment, and that the community is looking to PanCAN to help us all make good on the promise that RAS therapies hold for patients with pancreatic cancer. Unprecedented indeed are the Phase 3 data for #daraxonrasib, a RAS-targeted therapy developed by Revolution Medicines and presented by Dr. Brian Wolpin. These highly anticipated data were received with wild enthusiasm — a standing ovation! — from the ASCO community. Overall survival and progression-free survival were ~doubled, and overall response rate was ~tripled with daraxonrasib compared with chemotherapy in patients with previously treated metastatic pancreatic cancer, with all subgroups benefiting. Importantly, quality of life and pain were improved, so that patients not only live longer, but also feel better — just what we want from new therapies. Optimal management of side effects, including rash and mouth sores, is paramount to maximize the benefit — and PanCAN Patient Services is ready to embrace the educational needs!" Learn more about the additional data released on daraxonrasib and this significant advance for #pancreaticcancer treatment at 🔗 pcan.at/rjul9sza.

Important research shared by Dr. Diwakar Davar (@diwakardavar) at #ASCO26 on a PRAME-directed T-cell therapy for patients with advanced melanoma. The research showed meaningful responses in patients with limited treatment options, highlighting a promising approach for difficult-to-treat melanoma. @UPMCHillmanCC #ASCO26 #MoffittASCO26

Incredible #ASCO26 moment. Dr. Brian Wolpin, presenter of the daraxonrasib study, received a standing ovation DURING his talk after he stated the survival benefit for PDAC patients. It was sustained. Cheering. I have never see anything like it in the middle of a talk. $RVMD

Presented at #ASCO26: Among patients with previously treated metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, the RAS(ON) inhibitor daraxonrasib led to significantly longer overall survival and progression-free survival than chemotherapy. Full phase 3 RASolute 302 trial results: nej.md/4nWaxvM @ASCO
