This is great news!
Ice cream is actually one of the healthiest foods in existence, judging by a multitude of recent research articles. There was a very highly publicized article that came out in 2018 out of Harvard. It was for a student's dissertation, he found that ice cream was inversely associated with heart disease. The nutrition department and the student himself tried repeatedly to "make the association go away" with different analysis, and checking his work. But it didn't. Not only was ice cream reported as beneficial, it was actually one of the most beneficial dairy products analyzed. With up to a 12% reduction in heart disease risk for having >2 servings of ice cream per week. This wasn't the first study to find benefits of ice cream, and it also wasn't the last. In a 2013 meta analysis of studies, they also found a protective effect of ice cream on diabetes. You can see the bias against ice cream, as they don't even mention it in the main page. That's despite ice cream showing one of the BEST results of any food studied for diabetes risk. Another study from 2014 showed the same thing. Again, this is a meta analysis, not just one study. They are pooling together all of the studies on ice cream and diabetes and still finding this. The best result of any dairy food studied - here with a 32% reduction in diabetes risk. The bias against ice cream is very strong in these studies. A 2016 study once again showing the same benefit of ice cream for diabetes risk. They say that the study above (Chen et al) showed "attenuated association" once diet collection information was stopped after hypertension or high cholesterol diagnosis. They argue that this means that the association is invalid. But not only did they not try to dismiss any other food studied like this, but this is just objectively not true (see above - there still was an association). They also buried their results on ice cream in the supplementary tables so it didn't even make the paper. That's probably because they didn't like the fact that once again, ice cream intake was inversely and strongly associated with diabetes risk. So you really can't argue that there was some kind of agenda in favor of ice cream here. More recent studies show the same thing. A 2019 paper again showed a lower risk of diabetes with increased ice cream consumption. And again, they put this information at the very end in the supplementary tables to try to hide it. Finally, the most recent study in 2024 showed the STRONGEST association for ice cream's protective effect on diabetes. There was a linear dose response. That means more ice cream = less diabetes, straight up. In fact, there was a 50% reduction in risk for having one serving per day. Which, as you could guess by this point, was the greatest risk reduction of any dairy food studied. Why would ice cream actually be good for you? My main guess is the unique protective fats in dairy, that are abundant in ice cream. ◇ C15 ◇ C17 ◇ CLA ◇ TVA ◇ TPA are fats almost exclusively in dairy fat, and all have unique effects. ◇ Mitochondrial enhancing ◇ Anti-inflammatory ◇ Anti-thrombotic ◇ Lipid lowering ◇ Fat burning ◇ Cancer preventing I've covered these all at length in other content. Of course, this is all observational. This is simply seeing what people eat and then seeing what happens to them. It's not an experiment. That is definitely a limitation. However, when you see the same association, consistently, across decades, regardless of analysis and confounding adjustment, you probably have something real. This is not to say everyone should go and immediately pound gallons of ice cream for invincibility. But... it does mean having reasonable amounts of ice cream is likely good for you.

Illegal Migrant crossings. Some facts you need to know! Operation Isotrope was the military involvement small boat crossings in the English Channel 2022. I served on HMS Dasher during this operation. It still makes my blood boil. Warned the Navy was already overstretched. Priti Patel and the Home Office went ahead anyway. Then it gets worse. In the official Memorandum of Understanding revised 08 September 2022 The Home Secretary rescinded permission to turn boats back to France! No turn backs. Only recovery and escort while Border Force ferried them straight into the UK. No care for the Royal Navy. The House of Commons Defence Committee warned in black and white: “Operation Isotrope’s potential to cause reputational damage to the Royal Navy and even UK Defence as a whole is significant.” - Session 2021–22, HC 1069, Paragraph 79 They went further: “The best case scenario for the Royal Navy is that it will leave with its reputation unharmed. There is no prospect of leaving with its reputation enhanced.” - Session 2021–22, HC 1069, Paragraph 82

Grok says, with a patient able to talk and sit up, Nowaks chances of survival, if he could get to a trauma centre quickly, is up to 70%. Nowak could have been saved. x.com/grok/status/2062590216…

Replying to @drdankeown
In that optimized scenario with immediate supine positioning, calm reassurance, safe apprehension of the perpetrator and rapid ambulance transfer to a trauma centre, survival odds for a conscious young patient still able to speak (SBP ~90) could reasonably be estimated at around 70%. Cardiac stab wounds are high-risk but many reach the OR with signs of life and survive prompt surgical repair. Exact outcome depends on precise injuries and response to care—this is an informed general estimate from trauma literature, not a guarantee.

🟥 Czy Henry Nowak mógł przeżyć? Dr Krzysztof Magier @DrMagier , lekarz pediatra i były konsul honorowy RP w Cowes, przeanalizował nagrania z policyjnej kamery nasobnej pokazujące śmierć Henry'ego Nowaka. Zamiast natychmiastowego wezwania zespołu ratownictwa medycznego i przekazania pacjenta w ręce ratowników, policja go skuła.

🚨STARMER’S BLATANT HYPOCRISY EXPOSED! 🤔 Perfect example of Two-Tier Keir. Video 1 (2020): Starmer viciously attacks Trump for his response to the rioters after George Floyd’s death, calling it an “affront to humanity” and defending the unrest as “peaceful protests” by people “rightly demanding justice”. “Like you, I was shocked and angered by the killing of George Floyd. And the response of President Trump and US authorities to the peaceful protests, to people rightly demanding justice, has been an affront to humanity.” Video 2 (Today): Starmer condemns the “disgraceful” rioters in the wake of Henry Nowak’s tragic murder and his shocking treatment by police. “No matter the pain we feel, there is no justification for violence and disorder. Let me be clear, we will ensure anyone found engaging in disorder meets the full force of the law.” Why the blatant double standard, Keir? Either rioting is bad or it isn’t? You’re “shocked and angered” and label Trump’s crackdown an “affront to humanity”… but now you’re cracking down hard when people “demand justice” after Henry Nowak. Are you the “affront to humanity” for condemning these rioters? Two-Tier Keir exposed for the world to see.

The word 'Islamophobic' has been invented by the Muslims to forestall any criticism Funny that many people don't realise this I could use the same tactic... "I don't want any 'Cleesephobic' comments as they might upset me"
Muslim MP demanding to know what the punishment will be for the members of the house if he feels they have been Islamophobic. I wonder when they will be demanding what punishments the British public will face. Maybe public stonings or public lashings, maybe beheadings?

Your officers' priority should have been to attend to Henry Nowak's injuries - even if he *had* been racist. The fact THEY CHOSE to put the accusation against him above everything else is horrifying, and an apology does NOT suffice.

Release Letby!! This is well overdue now.
In November 2016, Dr Christopher Green, Director of Pharmacy at University Hospital of South Manchester, carried out a formal internal investigation into Lucy’s removal from the unit. His findings were very significant: •There was no clinical evidence against Lucy Letby. •The only thing the consultants had was a “gut feeling” from Dr Stephen Brearey. •He slammed the hospital for treating Lucy appallingly, not being open and honest with her, and failing to follow their own values and behaviours. thirlwall.public-inquiry.uk/… Read the report for yourself but if you don’t have time here is just one quote; “there does not appear to be any information that suggests LL is in any way responsible for what has happened on the unit” He went on to recommend that her grievance be upheld and that she should be allowed back to work on the neonatal unit. This report was never shown to the jury. Can everyone please answer these questions honestly… 1)Do you think the jury not seeing this report was just an oversight? 2)Do you think the report was deliberately withheld to increase the chances of conviction? 3)Do you trust the justice system in this country? Please share if you believe Lucy Letby is completely innocent, has been scapegoated and is the victim of a shameful miscarriage of justice. #LucyLetby #FreeLucy #MiscarriageOfJustice #JusticeReform

"Midazolam is used as a relaxant to intubate people before an operation, but that's really, really low doses. Anybody elderly should never be given more than half a milligram, one milligram max of Midazolam. Under NG163 that [Matt] Hancock bought in as a treatment for Covid, they said start off with two and a half milligrams and build up from there. And normally 14 milligrams will kill somebody and they will die breathless. It's a respiratory suppressant. When they died breathless, you can put COVID on their death certificate because their respiration got slower and slower and slower until it stopped. And... because they've got COVID on their death certificate, there was no autopsy and the bodies were cremated within 24 hours. So the evidence was all removed... It's a crime that was designed to be perfect. But unfortunately, we've got the Derek Dimmock [Medical] Inquest and we're getting to the truth, and the truth is unpalatable for the establishment. So they're going to suppress it. – Andrew Bridgen 🇬🇧 @ABridgen

NHS DESTROYED THE WOMAN WHO CAUGHT ITS DOCTORS STEALING FROM IT Sharmila Chowdhury @sharmilaxx gave 30 years of spotless service to the @NHS. Not one disciplinary mark. Not one complaint. She was the budget holder for radiology at Ealing Hospital NHS Trust, which means she could see exactly where the money was going. What she saw was two consultant radiologists billing the NHS for shifts they were spending at a private hospital down the road. The Trust lost £250,000 of public money through those arrangements. She reported it to her line manager. Her medical director. HR. Counter Fraud. The Department of Health. The Treasury. Number 10. She had a paper trail so airtight that @ITV undercover surveillance later caught the same consultants still absent during paid hours, and caught Miranda Harvie and Akkib Rafique taking direct cash payments from patients for private ultrasounds inside the NHS building, money going straight into their own account. So what did the Trust do with this documented, camera-confirmed, publicly broadcast fraud? They sacked her. On fabricated counter-allegations from a subordinate she had herself reported for breaching patient safety. The man who filed those allegations later sent an email signed off with "0800-F***-YOU-B****." He received a Top Mentor award from the Trust that same year. Sharmila won the Interim Relief Hearing. She won the internal appeal. The judge asked the Trust to reinstate her. The Trust said no and refused to let her return. She was blacklisted. Job offers were withdrawn the moment employers discovered who she was. She settled out of court in 2012 with two years pay, out of which she had to pay £77,500 in legal fees alone. 38 Degrees38 Degrees In July 2013, she was diagnosed with breast and lung cancer. Multiple consultants believe this is a direct result of the sustained stress of her treatment as a whistleblower. The consultants she reported kept their jobs. George Osborne said he could not get involved. Andrew Lansley said he could not get involved. David Cameron said he could not get involved. Every single official body, every single minister, every single department looked at a proven, camera-documented NHS fraud case and decided it was an employment matter. I would propose including the condition: you may not discriminate negatively against people in any way simply because they are not members of your religion. Yes, that would include Judaism.

NHS HAS A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE FOR DESTROYING WHISTLEBLOWERS. THEY JUST NEVER WROTE IT DOWN. UNTIL NOW. Peter Gooderham was an academic lawyer and former doctor. He spent most of his working life trying to understand why @NHS staff who raised patient safety concerns kept ending up bankrupt, mentally broken, or both. Before he died in 2011, he sat down with Private Eye (@PrivateEyeNews) and documented the playbook in full. It goes like this. First, cut their secretarial support. Block their merit awards. Briefing against them informally. Tell colleagues they have attitude problems and can't move on. None of this is illegal. All of it is deliberate. Then dig up dirt. Real or invented. Allege mental illness. The stress of the process makes this self-fulfilling, which is convenient. Refuse to disclose documents. Claim it's a local employment matter. The Department of Health will back this up because they always do. Then apply to the Treasury for public money to pay them off and shut them up. Some gagging agreements require the whistleblower to sign statements saying all their concerns have been addressed. Even when they haven't. Even when people are still dying. If they refuse the money, send the lawyers. Threaten libel. Throw public funds at employment tribunals, where NHS trusts are seasoned professionals and the whistleblower is walking in alone. If the trust loses, appeal. Keep appealing until the whistleblower runs out of money. The public purse is unlimited. Their savings are not. And if none of that works, don't worry. Public inquiries are, in Gooderham's own words, belated exercises in grief management that seldom change anything. By the time one arrives, the people responsible have moved on and the problems are dismissed as historical. The Gooderham playbook was not a historical curiosity. A @Channel4 investigation found gagging clauses in 55 of 64 NHS compromise agreements sampled. Over 40 NHS organisations refused to provide information on how many they had signed. One trust wanted over £10,000 just to produce the information. Another argued you couldn't even publish their reasons for refusing. This is a system that was designed, iteratively, over decades, to neutralise whistleblowers. The public funds the mechanism. The mechanism silences the people trying to protect the public. And then a public inquiry happens 15 years later and describes the culture as disappointing.
