A number of responses here are shocked, shocked! that I could say that Alexander was only great at killing, but if you challenge them to say what else he was great at...they mostly sputter.
So was Alexander great at things other than warfare and killing? 1/
I can't help but notice these lists of 'great men' are all men who were great at killing. In the case of Alexander or (fictional!) Achilles, great at killing and *nothing else.*
No scientists, artists, writers, humanitarians.
Just killers. Not quite my definition of greatness.
