Commonwealth Games Uganda and Little Hands Go Green today officially launched the Commonwealth Forest Initiative in Mabira Forest, marking the beginning of a landmark environmental legacy programme that will connect all 74 Commonwealth nations and territories through forest restoration, climate action, biodiversity conservation, and youth engagement. As part of the launch, 74 indigenous trees were planted to represent the 74 Commonwealth nations and territories. The trees stand as a living symbol of unity, shared responsibility, and collective action in response to climate change.
