I went snorkelling alone by the old bridge in the sea at Argassi, Zakynthos. The highlights were seabream, a painted comber (Serranus scriba) — and a tiny Mediterranean arrow crab / long-legged spider crab I only noticed later while reviewing the footage! 🐟🦀🇬🇷

One of them dived low at our little black dog and hit him on the head and ear with its claws. Thankfully, our dog was fine — but not impressed.
They even seem to watch us through the front window now.
Most likely, their young fledgling is hidden nearby in the reeds or bushes. So yes, it looks like a crazy bird attack… but it is probably just fierce parenting.

Geo-locating from an airplane window is addictive. ✈️🗺️
On TUI flight OR1231 from Amsterdam to Zakynthos, we spotted Croatia, Southern Italy, Turtle Island and Gerakas Beach before one of the hardest landings I’ve ever felt.
