Today, 31 years later, it's at $733.
When adjusting for inflation it should be $1,263/month.
That's $500 a month under inflation @fordnation

Rent doesn't even just cost money anymore.
It costs excellent credit.
It costs making 3x the rent as a salary.
There are people living in expensive motels, cars, and Air BnBs because they have money but do not have the credit or 3x the rent income to get an apartment.
