This year's "World" Cup is really not for the world!
Gianni Infantino knocked down all the reporting over visa concerns for this World Cup in August 2025: “I think it’s important to clarify this. There is a lot of misconception out there. Everyone will be welcome in Canada, Mexico and the United States for the FIFA World Cup next year. “There is a process to go through to get visas and so on. This process will be smooth… “We want to unite the world and we will unite the world next year. The world needs occasions of unity, of bringing teams together, of bringing people together, of bringing fans together... So again everyone will be welcome, be positive and you will see it will be a great, great celebration of the greatest FIFA World Cup ever.” No, again we are just meant to look the other way and allow this thing we love so much, that we want to enjoy, that we can map our whole lives around, to be used and abused. Again we are told about unity and inclusion when division, disparity and denial is the reality. It is a great, great celebration of getting more money whatever it takes, no matter who has to pay the price. The greatest showpiece of allowing - unopposed! - the man who is meant to protect and grow the people’s game into playing celebrity, massaging his own ego and that of heads of state. The biggest, most expensive, least accessible World Cup ever. The thing we love and all the beautiful pieces of it we’ve lost.

Fire!
This press conference is an all-timer. Arsenal had just lost back-to-back league games. Confidence was low. City were about to go top. It felt like the title was slipping away again. The media sensed blood. Arteta didn’t retreat. He came out swinging.

Gunning for profits 🔴💰 Arsenal added roughly $2bn to its enterprise value in a single season ( 59% increase) this ranks among largest single season valuation spikes in football history revenue is expected to break $1bn this season, the all time highest for any EPL team 📊

Please guys @wabpan
Next season, Mikel Arteta - Arsenal Xabi Alonso - Chelsea Michael Carrick - Manchester United Enzo Maresca - Manchester City Arne Slot - Liverpool Every team will start the season with zero point. Everyone will sign players too. Please don’t start supporting City by December.

Elon Musk’s latest tirade against South Africa is a masterclass in billionaire bait-and-switch. He claims Starlink is banned solely because he isn’t Black, a narrative he pushes to his 200-million-plus followers as proof of "viciously racist" laws. In reality, the 30% local equity requirement he decries is a standard part of the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) framework that hundreds of other U.S. giants, including Microsoft, have navigated for decades without the "drama". Musk’s "principle" against these rules conveniently ignores that South Africa has already pivoted to accommodate him. As of December 2025, the government introduced Equity Equivalent Investment Programmes (EEIPs), allowing foreign firms like Starlink to skip the equity transfer entirely by investing in local infrastructure and skills. Instead of taking the win, Musk has escalated to hurling expletives at senior diplomats and alleging (without evidence) that he was pressured to "bribe" his way into a license. The irony is thick: while Musk plays the victim of "reverse racism", his refusal to follow local law is the primary hurdle keeping high-speed internet from the very rural South African communities he claims to want to help. It isn't about the color of his skin; it’s about a billionaire who believes his birthplace owes him a waiver for the same rules everyone else follows.

The Botswana National Athletics Championships are Africa's premium address when it comes to sprints! Can't argue with that! Today the boys were casually dropping low 20's in the heats! The future surely is Orange!
