The 11th of April marked a milestone at @OpenSourceNest where we had our maiden open source flagship event titled “TAKEOFF”. As the lead convener, this meant I had to be at the center of management while juggling other affairs. All these would not have been possible without the help of many from my amazing co-founder @solu_victoria to the entire Open Source Nest community at large.

Our Social media lead and host of the event, @ChichetaramEze kickstarted with introductions and games to keep the room and atmosphere warm and exciting. And then came the awaited speaker sessions from @Preshh0 who broke down open source simply as source code by the people and for the people, @romeoscript1 gave a deep dive on how contributions can translate into paid opportunities, @theKingslee explored the role of AI in shaping modern development. Attendees were ultimately fed with a vast wealth of knowledge.
