What you see: Friend who is fit, healthy and energetic in middle age. What you SHOULD see: Friend who consistently eats healthy, makes time to exercise, and gets to bed at a reasonable hour. Stop looking at the outcomes. Start looking at the habits that lead to the outcomes.

Exciting news by the CFT team. Having been lucky enough to reach CFT competency, the evolve platform was an integral part of the process. Highly recommend to all clinicians. @PeteOSullivanPT @jpcaneiro

Today (Wednesday 9th April) campaigners will be holding a peaceful protest outside of #Peterborough's Town Hall between 11am and 1pm. Why not say hello and give them your support if you can. #LearningDisabilities

There is no "minimum" amount of physical activity that someone should do. Facilitate & encourage people to do a little bit more. The evidence is clear. It is hugely beneficial. academic.oup.com/eurjpc/arti…

The same for great physiotherapy. Find that ‘in’ Find that way to connect with a person, what makes them tick and therefore if and how you can help them. Tendon physiology…?? Don’t sweat about it 😎
What is great coaching? Connecting with people, understanding people. It's in vogue to talk about the science and the physiology, but connecting with who the athletes are as people and trying to understand them, their motivations, how to adapt, to get the best out of themselves. It's more in the psychology space, than it is in physiology. That's where the magic lies, is how to get the best out of each individual and understand them.

#Swimming and #aquatic activity's important role in the #health of the nation from a 'moral', 'personal' and 'economic perspective'. And especially in poorer parts of the UK where residents experience 20 years less of good health. #Peterborough desperately needs its pools.

I've spoken about 'the soul' of Peterborough a lot over the past year or so - the Lido, the Regional Pool, the Showground, Nene Valley Railway, the Hydro Pool - the list goes on. But Peterborough Cathedral in crisis? We need to do whatever we can for this appeal...

These ideas are so old and outdated I've stopped teaching why we should stop teaching them. These things never should have been adopted in the first place and the undoing seems to be a life long chore.
