ALT What is the trans bill of rights? This resolution affirms that the federal government has a responsibility to protect transgender and nonbinary people from discrimination in everyday life, including in: -Healthcare, including access to gender-affirming care. Housing and homelessness services - Employment and workplace protections -Education and access to public spaces -Immigration proceedings -The armed services and veterans affairs -Safety, bodily autonomy, and robust civil rights enforcement

Regarding the Trump admin’s sudden, unilateral cancellation of grant funding for CDPH HIV prevention programs: Any plans to strip funds from providers and force public health agencies and hospitals to scramble to make up the difference, especially at a time when working people and LGBTQ Chicagoans already face far too many barriers to accessing the care they need, only exacerbates the public health challenges our city faces. "

ALT "2. Trump is forcing our most vulnerable neighbors to go without essential care with the sole goal of advancing his extreme right-wing ideology. It is heartless and inhumane. My administration will use every tool at our disposal to ensure these funds are returned to the people of Chicago."
