The first British female soldier to be killed in Afghanistan was Corporal Sarah Bryant, age 26, of the Intelligence Corps. We had the sad honour of laying flowers & paying respects at Sarah’s final resting place in the beautiful Ashgate Lane cemetery, Wetheral.
