On this day in 2003: The world's largest Pride flag was unfurled in Florida.
Created by Gilbert Baker and a team of volunteers, the flag stretched more than a mile long and was displayed in Key West to mark the 25th anniversary of the original rainbow Pride flag.
The flag measured approximately 1.25 miles (2km) in length and required hundreds of people to help carry it through the streets, earning a world record at the time.
