Many Minions are needed to turn mad dreams & wild ambitions into reality.
We have a team who are achieving things previously believed to be impossible, backed by a cadre of supporters who have bought into those dreams. It’s a small but astonishing story; we’re very proud of it.
It’s just me - I’m a very small cog in a big machine. But the short answer is “everything happens because I’m surrounded by brilliant people.”

EMU preservation isn’t about tales of luxury and privilege. It’s about machines that were wrapped up in millions of ordinary lives, of moments & memories shared by the hundreds & thousands of people who wove their stories while using these workaday units as they were built to be.
How many great Scouse nights out started with a journey into town on a 507 or 508?
These trains were more than an assembly of motors, contactors and compressors – they are part of Merseyside’s social history.
That’s why we’re proud to have preserved one of them for posterity.

I drivved a Class 507 today.
There were no screams.
All passengers survived.
Equipment was returned to owners the right way up, with all parts still attached & not engulfed in flames.
All in all, a win.
