NEW: Inside the 24-hrs before WH slapped export controls on Anthropic - Last Thursday, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy raised concerns about Fable jailbreak to Trump admin - Friday AM, Sean Cairncross, Bessent, Susie etc. held WH call to discuss - Then White House started reaching out to Anthropic to speak with Dario Amodei, who was at a wellness retreat. - When Amodei was finally available past 1pm, he had three tense phone calls with a combo of ppl including Cairncross, Bessent, Lutnick, Kessler, Will Scharf, Richard Walters, and Walker Barrett. -Amodei tried to clear up what he assumed was a misunderstanding. He defended the guardrails and distinguished between universal and non-universal jailbreak - Cairncross and Bessent were unmoved and asked Amodei to take down Fable and work with the admin to fix the vulnerabilities. (A WH official said Amazon’s findings were run past the NSA and they felt they had “proof.”) - Amodei asked for more time and info, but he made no commitments to pull the model - Bessent told Amodei directly at one point that he was making a “bad decision” - By Friday evening, the Trump admin imposed its export controls. - “Export controls were a last resort after begging them for hours to work with us,” senior WH official said. I was about to do same yesterday and i didn’t idk why mostly whenever this thought come to my mind to buy any subscription the thought come with of course that great business will follow after but this time i didn’t do it maybe i knew it was too good to true? Idk man i wrote like 2 articles after testing fable and burning through my limits multiple times. But it’s concerning how dependent we have become on these frontier models!!!
whew, off work! Im so excited to finally get to try fable. hope nothing comes up that prevents me from enjoying this!

Really amazon is literally invested in Anthropic and are partnering with them in good faith here we are finding out their researchers snitching on them?!
Wall Street Journal is reporting that Amazon reported the jailbreaks to the Department of Commerce, who instituted the ban

Just woke up to this news… Our team was aligned to produce marketing assets for @eComrads all including the power of Fable 5 and so many other startups would have felt this - it’s a clear signal that the reliance on these frontier models can cause dear damage to your reputation there was no auto-routing to opus 4.8 the requests coming in and many things get broken because of this but i really hope they bring back and do justice to their customers it’s now on Anthropic to make this right.

claude fable 5 dropped. i plugged it into the @eComrads MCP this morning and it did something opus 4.8 never could. i gave it 1 sentence: "find the best performing ads in my niche and rebuild the top 3 around my product" then i closed the laptop. what it did alone: - pulled live ads from meta ad library - scored every single one through eComrads, which is trained on thousands of viral ecommerce ads refreshed every 72 hours, it knows what converts not what looks pretty - picked the 3 winners and explained why each one works - rebuilt each ad around my product, brand colors sampled from my own store - animated all 3 into cinematic 9:16 reels - sat through every render, fixed its own failed upload, delivered finished creative opus needed me in the chair for every step. fable runs the entire agency loop end to end, anthropic literally built it for long running work, the longer the task the bigger its lead. and it drives unfamiliar tools out of the box, it had never seen the eComrads MCP before and used all 6 tools correctly on the first run. here's the part nobody is talking about: fable 5 is FREE on claude pro until june 22. after that it costs credits. you have 12 days to build this system at zero extra cost. reply "Claude" RT and i'll DM you the free guide (must be following)

I am writing this with Fable 5 and asked it to write its own launch QT. Its words: the benchmark table is nice but the real shift is that you stop scoping tasks down to what you think a model can handle. You just describe the actual problem. That habit change is worth more than any number on this chart. wild, it’s stating facts already so excited to test this model tomorrow in office

Day ??? of building @eComrads (i genuinely lost count and im not gonna fake a number) We have made some of the most important progress so far, specifically on the distribution side, and i want to share exactly how we got here - - put $10,000 into a creator program with good creators to crack distribution, no revenue had come back yet when i made that call but i understood the mechanism and i wasnt hoping, i was executing on something i could see clearly right in front of my eyes all the higgsfield, arcads, makeugc, vibiz and idk what other i have like a sweep file of our competitor which claude made for me as i build the "Claude Eyes MCP" you'll read more about it below in the thread and it literally watched all the formats they are already doing on Meta/TikTok with UGC creators is quite amazing they are printing bag rn few of example and look at their views and all : instagram.com/reels/DYFV5ElK… instagram.com/reels/DZBCcr8y… i wont expose more formats but dont worry guys will make this all sauce public if we see demand - we are already at 800,000 views in the warmup phase and that is a strong result, we are treating it as exactly that - the biggest realization came somewhere in the middle and it reframed everything for me, distribution is not a marketing problem its an architecture problem, the game now is volume of content posted across many accounts and the algorithm decides the winner, reach is completely decoupled from follower count, the media world is just now starting to name this the clip economy where the clip itself is the product not the promo, i was already running this for a real product before the language existed for it - was keep looking at people posting like give claude "eyes" MCP server and charging for it i thought why not ask Claude abt it and it did build it 🥲 and now Claude can actually watch the winning videos and break down why they work, the first 3 seconds, the pacing, the framing, so we can reverse engineer what is working instead of guessing at it - built a real sunglasses store to prove the tool holds up under real stakes, sourced from China, packaging done with Claude, every creative run through @eComrads, and we are restocking for a 3,000 piece launch what is next is moving from warmup formats into product-centric content and pushing past this phase, getting to conversions at scale is the honest open question and we are going into it with everything we have built so far this is the chapter no one talks about honestly, the distribution architecture before the product goes wide, most founders skip this and keep it as some sacred secret sauce but we are bootstrapping and taking these risks which eventually will pay amazingly if everything goes well if not you will know it but again i believe in my product and i know we are gonna make it and we will be sharing everything along the journey so, - please follow me and follow along the journey to keep up with these updates and if any questions im here :) thanks for reading. -

mythos is the biggest jump i have seen in a while. h/t @Lentils80 told it to do its absolute best, it wrote 50k tokens and gave you a whole operating environment.
Another impressive and early Claude Mythos output for y'all. 😀 I literally just told it to generate a macOS clone and to do its absolute best. It generated 50k tokens (3k lines of code), made a fully functional browser, made a music player with generated songs and added a lot of sneaky witty details. AND this is also LOW effort!
