If you feel uncomfortable - good. Disruption is part of the process. If we allow ourselves to stop and listen, #transformation can grow from it.

„How we manage this global crisis, and how humanely we treat each other as we migrate, will be key to whether this century of upheaval proceeds smoothly or with violent conflict and unnecessary deaths.(…) Migration is our way out of this crisis.“ #CEAS amp.theguardian.com/news/202…

„I often hear people ask, “Why should I deprive myself of X pleasure or Y entitlement, when it won’t really make any difference?” Such a narrow focus on individual impact reveals how much the myth of individualism constricts us.“ zocalopublicsquare.org/2023/…

💬 Dr Patrick Hart, 37, a GP from Bristol, who took part in the action, said: “I am doing this because it’s my duty as a doctor. The climate crisis is the greatest health crisis humanity has ever faced. People are dying now and more will die every day unless we stop new oil, gas and coal.” “In the same way the tobacco companies lied to us that tobacco was safe, the scrum of fossil fuel companies and corrupt politicians have been lying to us. They are keeping us addicted to fossil fuels, even though they know it’s killing us. I am not prepared to let them get away with mass murder. We are ordinary people. We are the doctors and nurses who care for you when you are sick. I call on everyone to come and join us in the streets and be on the right side of history.” #SARvSAL #GallagherPremFinal #Twickenham

Big Oil is successfully manipulating the way we think about climate change. Instead of focusing on stopping the burning of fossil fuels, public attention revolves around individual carbon footprints or carbon sequestration. The red herring fallacy at work salon.com/2023/05/13/how-big…

Replying to @julia_asbrand
@julia_asbrand at #dpk2023: therapist are mostly reflected, still we also have unconscious biases (re race, gender, SES background...). Specific person groups are more affected by crises but are not reached by therapy offers.
