During WW2, the Women’s Land Army received four weeks of training on our campus in the skills needed to produce essential food supplies for Britain. They learned the techniques of market gardening, how to care for and milk cows and how to harvest field crops and animal fodder.

Did you know we have been teaching for over 100 years? In 1926, when female students were first allowed to study at the Cheshire School of Agriculture (now Reaseheath College), HRH Prince of Wales visited campus to open the women's hostel, dairy and food buildings.
