Science became a tool to push a predetermined agenda, not to measure results. The carbon tax is the clearest example: no baseline, no metrics, emissions rising, and a food industry left less competitive.
In the end, he acted more like an activist than a policymaker โ and Canadians paid the price.

During this interview, @VassKapelosShow made two false assumptions in her question about the carbon tax.
The carbon tax was not eliminated.
Only the consumer portion was reduced to zero. The industrial carbon tax remains fully in place โ and has actually increased since April 1. We have argued numerous times that the carbon tax across the supply chain is undermining the competitiveness of our agri-food sector. That hasnโt changed.
