Maintaining an independent judiciary means impeaching corrupt justices when they take millions of dollars in “gifts” from people with business before the court. Hope this helps. You can find School House Rock on YouTube.

Communists like @AOC hate an independent judiciary and therefore want to destroy the Supreme Court.

Paul influenced generations. He made sure that the real JM Keynes lived in the profession and our scholarship. I had the honor of organizing the Post Keynesian conference & summer school for several years after he passed the baton to UMKC RIP Paul Davidson chicagotribune.com/obituarie…

Abba P. Lerner was Professor of Economics at @RUEcon from 1947 to 1959. When Coase visited us in 2005 he said, "I haven't been in this building [Auditorium Bldg] since I visited my friend Abba Lerner. . . I believe the last time was in 1955."
In 1958, Abba Lerner sketched out a program to address what he called "sellers' inflation", including strategic regulation of prices, taxing windfall gains, and direct stabilization of prices via government buying/selling in specific markets. commentary.org/articles/abba…

My great-great grandparents, William & Margaret Stephens, were enslaved. Their legacy of love and faith is how I’m now Illinois’ first Black Lt. Governor. I spent Juneteenth making sure these brilliant children in Pullman know that they, too, are their ancestors’ wildest dreams.

Well said. Saltfish (cod) is a peculiar long run import of British colonial economic policy, for an island and country naturally swimming in fish. The national dish of ackee & saltfish is, besides delicious and coveted, twice fatal! Unripened ackee, unripened economy.

Unripened ackee contains substantial amounts of hypoglycin A, a dangerous toxin. It is somehow unsurprising that #Jamaica’s national fruit, and popular national dish, can be fatal. Read More: chowhound.com/1597702/why-ac… search.app/rxPVygnzNpnpyC9S6
