The past year has been one of my hardest ... and proudest. After many (many!) hours on planes, I'm thrilled to announce we've closed our latest $650m set of funds. The big news is that over half of it comes from tier 1 global LPs. This is a huge moment for the Australian startup ecosystem. The same investors who back the likes of Sequoia and Accel in the US are now supporting Aussies and Kiwis just getting started. We've spent more hours than I can count educating them on what our local backers have known for a decade: ANZ is producing truly world class disruptors at an ever increasing rate. Their participation in our ecosystem is great for founders and also other funds as the floodgates will no doubt open up from here.
