In Assam, 🌿🌿 Sajina Paat (Moringa leaves) is more than superfood — it's a sacred spring ritual tied to Basanta Ritu & Bohag Bihu.We believe eating it (leaves drumsticks) during this season protects against smallpox, chickenpox, skin issues & "cleanses" the body with its bitter power.Traditional ways:Sajina Paat Bhaji (light sauté with garlic, chilli, potato) In Mati Maah or Moong Dal Scrambled with eggs (Sajina Paat aru Koni) Rural homes use fresh leaf juice for BP & digestion. Every bari has a tree — leaves for immunity, flowers & pods for seasonal dishes. Rich in Iron (for nursing mothers), Vit C (spring immunity), Calcium (elderly bones). #SajinaPaat #AxomiyaFood #BohagBihu #Moringa #Assam #Guwahati #Food #Bihu

The moringa tree, known as the “miracle tree”, is one of the most nutrient-dense plants on the planet and is prized for its healing qualities. It also has another huge benefit, according to new research: it’s excellent at removing microplastics from water. cnn.it/4tL6KDG

You won't see any garbage bins in the whole area.
🚨Uzanbazar, Guwahati — right in the heart of the city, next to our heritage & riverfront. These GPS-tagged photos show the disgusting reality: massive open garbage dumps, stench everywhere. How long will we tolerate this? @gmc_guwahati @DCKamrupMetro @himantabiswa @CMOfficeAssam @guwahatiplus @rishi_baruah #Guwahati #Uzanbazar #CleanGuwahati #GarbageCrisis #Assam

Who are these Hindus who doesn't eat non-veg Tuesday?
No Hindu eats non veg on Tuesday. But here, self-proclaimed Hindu leader Anurag Thakur is eating fish on a Tuesday with a tilak on his forehead, just to mock Hindus.

🚨Why does Guwahati drown every single monsoon like clockwork, bhai? It’s not just “bad luck” or “heavy rain” – this is a geographical death trap we’ve made 10x worse! Guwahati sits in a natural bowl – the Brahmaputra on one side, hills of the Shillong Plateau and other ranges on the other three. Monsoon clouds smash into those hills, sending torrents of runoff straight into our low-lying city. The mighty river and choked tributaries like Bharalu backflow when levels rise. We’re literally built in a flood basin that nature designed to fill up. That’s why even a drizzle turns streets into rivers. But here’s where we Assamese shot ourselves in the foot: reckless, unplanned urbanization has destroyed our city’s natural defenses. Wetlands like Deepor Beel? Filled up for buildings. Hills? Cut and sold for illegal colonies. Forests gone, concrete jungles everywhere – built-up area exploded 87% in just over a decade while water bodies shrank 24%. Old colonial drains can’t handle the runoff anymore. Garbage, silt, and greed have blocked everything. We turned our green gateway into a concrete trap that can’t breathe. And why does this nightmare remain unsolved in 2026? Because our leaders treat floods like a seasonal photo-op, not a crisis. Master plans gather dust for decades. Crores in drainage projects vanish into pockets. Encroachers get protection for votes, not eviction. No political will, no enforcement, just endless excuses while we suffer “artificial floods” from governance failure. #GuwahatiFloods #Assam #Guwahati

Beautiful orchids from Assam! 💮 These vibrant flowers are from the 𝗞𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸 near the world-famous Kaziranga National Park in Assam, India. Started by 𝗔𝗸𝗵𝗶𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝗴𝗼𝗶 (currently a MLA in Assam Legislative Assembly) through his organization Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS), this park was established in October 2015 at Durgapur village, Kohora (just 1.2 km from the central range of Kaziranga). Spanning several acres with greenhouses, gardens, a rice museum, herbal plants, and nature trails, it showcases Assam's incredible orchid diversity — now home to over 2,000 species of wild orchids! It's a wonderful example of community-led conservation and biodiversity efforts, celebrating Northeast India's rich natural heritage and promoting eco-tourism and folk culture.Grateful for this cultural appreciation from our Chinese friends. Nature knows no borders! #Assam #AkhilGogoi #Kaziranga #India #China

Traditional Assamese villages are being swallowed. Our people are being cornered into tiny shrinking ghettos in our own ancestral land. The demographic conquest is happening in broad daylight while the locals sleepwalk to their own extinction. #Assam #Miya
