Kuki-Zo Village Volunteers Warn Against Drone, Chopper Flights Over Mongkot Chepu Ukhrul, 19 May 2026: — The Village Volunteer, Ukhrul Gamkai, issued a warning on 19 May 2026 against unauthorized airspace intrusion over Kuki-Zo areas. The notice said a drone was spotted over farming areas of Mongkot Chepu on 18 May and over residential areas on 19 May. The source was identified as Sikibung/Sharkaphung village. The group warned that any future unauthorized drones over Kuki-Zo villages will be shot down, and the originating village will be held responsible for retaliatory action. The statement also objected to passenger choppers flying from Ukhrul to Imphal at "extremely low altitude" over Kuki-Zo villages, calling it provocative. This has to be taken most serious. The terrorist who attacked the Mulam Songphal a Kuki Zo village were airlifted for medication, whereas the injured villagers including women and children unattended. This much injustice. God help us.
