Starmer’s ban on social media isn’t a ban for 17 year olds and below.
It’s a ban for the entire population, until you identify yourself and link your social media to your ID.
It was never about protecting children.

I have put restrictions on my kids phones so they can’t use them before 7am or after 8pm except to make calls/send texts.
They can’t download apps without me approving and they’re not allowed:

An under 16s ban on usng social meda will require a universal identification verification for every internet user in the country.
It can not work without this.
So by default this is a defacto digital ID, with every person's online activity monitored, tracked, and traced, dissenting will not be allowed.
Free speech will be over in the UK.

TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, X, YouTube social features, Reddit, Threads, Twitch, Kick
for under-16s because they’re “dangerous to kids.”
But Bluesky, the platform overrun with groomers, CSAM reports, violent threats and open extremism, gets a free pass?!
