Remigration as "mobilizing myth" is a good frame. There's a certain fair critique according to which, realistically, once boomers start to pass, the native population in countries like the UK will fall off a cliff regardless of what policies are implemented now. Therefore, rather than waste scarce resources on political campaigns, the focus should be on community-building (youth sports, advice centres, etc.) so that native Europeans arrive at minority status in a stronger position - one from which they might start to reverse things. However, a political cause like Remigration is precisely one of the most direct ways to foster identity/community (whether or not it's adopted as actual policy in the short-term). People are very politicized today and mobilize around big picture ideas, not local club houses and the like.
