Dependent on your voice control speech and speed you can pack much into these 5 mins. Usually it is 3 slides in front of the whole audience. There is not a parallel track in the schedule.
Got an idea that doesn’t need 40 min? ⚡ Share it in a 5-minute Lightning Talk at PyCon DE & PyData! Sign up on-site — speakers are chosen at random. Slides optional, fun guaranteed 😄 #PyConDE #PyData #Python #AI #LightningTalks #Community

I'm currently looking at recent #kanidm(_tools) and installing something with #cargo for the first time. It reminds me a bit of my first steps with Python, and also of #pixi @prefix_dev . Unlike pixi, cargo needs system packages, like libudev-sys. Is there another way to do this?

93/97 Yes, we DO believe it's time for beginners to learn about type annotations. It was once considered an advanced topic, especially in #ScientificPython. Well, not anymore!

92/97 Day 2 pushes the boundaries of "beginner": Typing Annotations → @FastAPI for #AI development → Security basics for beginners → Collaborating with DataLad. Cool, huh?

64/97 A special note on our 'Education, Diversity & Outreach' track: while talks here don't require deep Python or domain knowledge, they must be relevant to the #ScientificPython community.

63/97 So, a pro-tip for #EuroSciPy2026: if your work is highly specialized, and you can't give a 10-min overview for a general audience, a poster is your best bet! 😉 We love seeing deep dives during the poster session, and they usually have a high acceptance rate!

62/97 It's also worth noting that proposals submitted directly to the Poster track have priority over talks/tutorials that are later converted due to limited schedule space. So if you know your work is a great fit for a poster, submit it as one from the start!
