Hillary Clinton says Joe Biden made a “terrible mistake” by running for re-election. “He made a terrible mistake. He made a terrible mistake for himself, his legacy, and for the country.” Clinton said that had Biden said he was not running, the winner of the primary “would have beaten Donald Trump.” “So I think it was a terrible miscalculation.”

Hollywood is at risk of becoming Detroit, advocates warn, unless the U.S. responds to the 81 countries embracing filmmaking as an economic tool. “I watched the demise of steel and rubber and automotive manufacturing as I grew up,” says IATSE vice president Mike Miller, who was raised in Cleveland. “This is identical in many ways. We have an undeclared trade war that our government is standing by and watching happen.” Read the full cover story on the mass exodus of LA productions by @GeneMaddaus: wp.me/pc8uak-1lHp4O

This person will be dead soon. The reality is he's dying on the street. His life could be saved. But that requires putting aside ideology and pet projects and scooping him off the streets to save his life. It's a choice. And we simply choose not to. We choose the immoral choice.

he needs to unbleph Bradley Cooper's eyes first please it will be a better film
EXCLUSIVE: Sean Penn, coming off his third Oscar win for 'One Battle After Another,' has been quietly setting up a passion project. The currently untitled film will follow the early life of a cop who goes on to be caught up in the January 6th Capitol riots. Penn has scripted and will direct the movie, which has five-time Oscar nominated actor Bradley Cooper in talks to star in the lead role. There’s no deal yet. The film will re-team Penn with 'One Battle After Another' studio Warner Bros, which has acquired it in a negative pickup. More details here: deadline.com/2026/06/sean-pe… (Photos: Getty)

Good example of the ‘if everyone hates it, I must defend it as long as big money likes it’ style of punditry that’s just everywhere now.
I have no problem with hydration breaks. It benefits players and advertisers. Win/win. Yes, it changes how you play/coach/watch, but so did substitutions, 3 pts for win, VAR, etc. Evolve and adapt. There will be a generation whose version of the beautiful game includes quarters.

Every 4 years there’s an army of guys (always guys) who know *nothing* about what top-level football requires confidently tweeting that *if only* LeBron would kick a ball, we’d beat the rest of the world handily. It’s so ignorant & so, so arrogant.
Totally disagree with this. The quality of a national team is simply a function of the number of people who seriously try to play the sport. So the population x the percentage of people who get a legit shot to make it. That percentage is just way lower in the US than in most countries around the world. Our top athletes are playing football cornerback and slot receivers, basketball point guards and baseball. Nothing wrong with it but don’t act like our soccer deficiencies aren’t a direct result of top athletes playing other sports. It is.
