I was at Arlington Cemetery this morning giving a tour when I realized it was June 6th, D-Day. I will never forget traveling through Calais, France on June 6, 1994, with my grandfather, who served in World War II. That was the 50th anniversary of D-Day. We didn’t plan that either. The guard who stamped our passports cried, hugged, and thanked my grandpa. One of the most memorable experiences of my life! Thank you to all of the families who have sacrificed and lost loved ones on that consequential day.
