Today, after months of Democrat opposition, the @HouseGOP secured a huge win by passing full funding for @ICEgov and @CBP. While I would have preferred that CBP and ICE funding remain in the official @DHSgov funding package, that was impossible given the slim Republican majority in the Senate and Democrat opposition to funding border security and immigration enforcement. This opposition left us no option but to fund these critical law enforcement agencies through Reconciliation 2.0 so that our frontline DHS personnel can continue their jobs to protect our homeland. The Executive Branch has almost entirely exhausted reserve funds for ICE and CBP. As a matter of national security, it was critical that we pass this funding package.

In yesterday’s @HomelandGOP Hearing, @SecMullinDHS testified that construction on the primary border wall is on track to be finished by this time next year while the secondary border wall is set to be completed by the summer of 2028. This is wonderful news!

Thanks to President Trump’s leadership and the hard work of frontline DHS personnel, the number of illegals crossing into America is down 95% from the Biden Administration!
