It was my honor to speak about the 50th Indy Honor Flight on the House Floor this week. The Indy Honor Flight transports WWII, Korea, and Vietnam veterans to Washington, D.C. to view memorials at no cost. This is a deeply impactful experience to these heroes. Proud to give this organization the recognition they deserve.

Chairman @RepBrianMast & @RepJimBaird: Nobody has done more to defend American ideals than those who put their lives on the line for our country. This amendment will make it easier for all Purple Heart and Medal of Honor recipients to travel by exempting their passport fees.

Today is Women Veterans Day, where we celebrate the contributions of women in the U.S. Military. Mary Hallaren was the first woman to officially join the @USArmy. Halleran was a spitfire in a small package. Standing barely five feet tall, she once said “You don't have to be six feet tall to have a brain that works.” She was promoted to full colonel in 1947 and made the Director of the Women’s Army Corps (WAC). When the WAC was integrated into the U.S. Army officially, she became the first woman regular U.S. Army officer. Serving through the Korean War, she retired in 1960 at age 53 and was awarded the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star, and the Army Commendation Medal. Thank you to all Women Veterans for your service!

My Small Modular Reactor Commercialization Act will help promote the growth of our nuclear industry and develop the necessary tools to get SMR technology off the ground. I look forward to working with @SecretaryWright on this key issue.

China is months away from exporting its first small modular reactor. @RepJimBaird and @RepGregoryMeeks agree that this amendment ensures the U.S. takes the technological lead. It's time to supply our diplomats with the tools to promote American civil nuclear tech around the world.

The Palestinian Liberation Organization has consistently committed acts of terror against Americans and freedom-loving countries throughout the world. They should not receive membership rights in the UN while carrying out heinous acts on the world stage. I am proud to submit my NOPE Act in @HouseForeignGOP to prevent American funds from supporting UN agencies that support membership of the Palestinian Liberation Organization beyond observer status.

The Wall That Heals, a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall came to White County recently. It is always impactful to see the names of those I knew and fought with in Vietnam. I am glad that Hoosiers could also be supported through this amazing event. Thank you to all the workers and volunteers who made this event possible.
